I realised having a gender identity was never something I'd paid any mind to. As it's a social construct it's not something I have to accept. Seeing the absurdity of the current situation it's definitely something I reject and would encourage others to do the same😊
Unfortunately, the laws in the UK are being subverted to allow self-ID by anyone at anytime thus removing the safe guarding of women and girls in formerly biological sexed spaces. Birth certificates, passports and other ID cards are all being used to "prove" the lie that men can be women (and vice versa.) I don't care how someone wants to live in their private sphere, but don't make it legal for men (with male genitalia or without) to go into female only spaces. This is not safe for women and girls.
It seems to be something that's only experienced as an explanation for psychological distress. I don't have any internal sense of being a man, I just am one.
The Charity Commisions decision looks odd to me. Two years to come to relatively mild conclusions on governance and a ticking off over breast binders sent without parental consent, plus the Breslow affair? Seems like there has been a political battle going on about the final report. The direction on the Cass review is positive, but the organisation is still stuffed with people who will do their best to subvert implementation. Hopefully, the fall out and reputational.damage will shrink finding, hopefully to a fatal level, as you say.
Re Mermaid’s I don’t think you should be disappointed at the result of the CC investigation - their aim will always be to protect charity funds and to ensure the charity fulfils its charitable purposes. Closing a charity would mean it could no longer fulfil its purposes. If Mermaids went back to supporting children with gender distress, and their parents, in an appropriate way, that’d be great. I’d say a 40 trustees in 10 years for a board of 10 is high. The charity I work for has replaced it’s board of 5 once in the six years I’ve worked there (4 completed their term of 9 years, 1 stepped down due to ill health).
Jack. Try OXVA. Uses liquid so lot cheaper than disposable. Pods are magnetic so just change when start tasting bit tinny ! No faffing with coils ! Love the podcast guys :) Clive has the best giggle x
I don’t give a hoop about genderidentity. There could be a million for all I care. Sex is binary and it’s sex that matters.

Also I think gendered behaviour is more accurate in that David Reimer's behaviour was more typical of a boy than a girl.
