I read the link to the Appeal Court's decision and was astonished to learn the following. The 16 year old person and the subject of the court case, (born female but now self-identifying as 'male'), has a partner. The partner lives in the same household and is the child of the court case subject's step-mother. This partner was also born female and also self-identifies as 'male'. What are the odds of two children in the same household, the off-spring of entirely separate parents, being trans? One suspects strongly that other factors are involved in the creation of this court case. I take my hat off to the biological mother!

But of course there's NO WAY this is social contagion...

The last two Die hard films are, at best, OK. The mission impossible films are all better.

With the exception of MI2, they've all been brilliant. Tom Cruise may be a nutter, but his films are mint more often than not!

39:00 "And he is launching the Hold My Hand campaign, calling on government to make LGBTQ plus hate crime an aggravated offence in line."

Who is hate crimed against if a lesbian or a gay man claims there is no such thing like a male lesbian or a female gay man and a TRA calls them bigots?

Take care of that cold, Jack, especially the cough, sounds rough. What a drag to be sick at the holidays, so get well soon. Excellent and funny podcast today. I'll be watching a double feature this season of Die Hard and The Wizard of Oz... will see if I can get my neighbors to join in -- sounds fun (sincerely!) Happy Christmas, you two, and all the best for the New Year!

🎄🎅🏼🎉

P.S. Just let Jack watch Judy Garland sing Somewhere over the Rainbow and he'll be won over. Fabulous movie. Thanks, Clive, for promoting it! ... Wait, Clive, didn't Glinda tell Dorothy that she could have told her the shoes were magic and could send her home, but that she had to discover that for herself? That's actually a good lesson. Glinda was one of my sheroes as a kid, as well as Dorothy. Anyway, your conversation was hilarious, I LOLed, thanks!

I know a lot of us in the past will have some extent been taken in by the gender woo woo, so I can understand that Fry might get have been taken in. But his total lack of ownership and acknowledgment that his support of gender woo woo was totally wrong is s the part I cannot forgive. His waffling just doesn’t cut it.

Fry. This is what the wrong side of history look likes.

My favourite Xmas film's been done (IAWL, obviously), so I'll throw Bad Santa into the hat. Merry Xmas everyone.

I'm glad someone else found Fry to be as weak kneed and two-faced and self-serving as I did. All in all I found his appearance on Triggernometry a repulsive. example of a Vichy-like collaborator trying to find some cover denouncing Fascists while also trying to hold onto his good standing in "the party of responsible Frenchmen Who Just HAD to Work With the Germans " when being interviewed by the allies, circa 1945. --- He was always just doing his best, doing his job, wasn't he---? he wasn't really a full hearted collaborator--- my ass!

I used to be a fan of Mr. Fry, years ago. No longer. What a cowardly ,primping Tartuffe of a hypocrite he has turned out to be through and through. I hope this costs him all those invitations to host game shows and show up at free dinners he's obviously been worried about --- above all else --- the last 10 years.

What an utter zero.

It's good Graham Linehan and Andrew Doyle are moving to Arizona because he doesn't deserve to even be on the same continent as them.
